How We Live Now: Reimagining Spaces with Matrix Feminist Design Co-operative

A multi-layered project comprising an installation, publication and events programme exploring a series of important questions about our public spaces and designed environments.

Catch BFA’s contribution to the section on contemporary responses to the topic.

How We Live Now: Reimagining Spaces with Matrix Feminist Design Co-operative is an exhibition that showcases the work of the collective as well as never shown archive material.

Matrix were a non-hierarchical collective of female architects, designers, builders and activists. They worked a lot with underrepresented communities such as Black and Asian women’s organisations, childcare providers and lesbian & gay housing co-operatives using participatory design methods.

You’ll be able to see the BFA Manifesto and snippets of our collaboration with @adesola_akinleye and @jaydenaali The Future is a Common History.

Don’t miss out. Exhibition is on until 31st January!
