BFA MENTORING PROGRAMME


The BFA Mentoring Programme IS in its third year running with a 5-part event series Starting in April.

The programme Started in 2023 and rAN in 2024-5 WITH OVER 60 PARTICIPANTS.

The BFA Mentorship Programme 2026

The BFA Mentoring Programme 2026 is a structured professional development programme over 12 months, consisting of five workshops combining in-person and online sessions. The programme supports professionals, early-career individuals and students through practical skills development at key stages of architectural education and practice.

The series begins with an in-person CV and Portfolio workshop on 9 April, followed by an online Public Speaking workshop on 14 or 20 May. An in-person Interview Skills workshop takes place on 2 July, including mock interviews with architects, recruiters, or HR representatives. On 10 September, an online Applying for Jobs workshop covers recruitment timelines and application strategies. The programme concludes on 29 October with an in-person Careers Fair featuring professionals from across the built environment. The events take place between 6.30pm-9pm (GMT).

The events are open to all, however, members of the BFA community have priority access and discounted rates

The programme will be hosted by our partners Roca Gallery with in person events happening in London and the online events open to our international community.

 
 

The BFA Mentorship Programme is led by Alice Farmer and Stephanie Adebayo. The programme started in 2023 and is it ints third year running. A little bit about the two incredible BFA Members who came up with the idea:

Alice Farmer

Alice is a registered architect currently working at dMFK Architects in London. She is a graduate from Newcastle University, Central Saint Martins and Westminster University.

At dMFK she has contributed to projects varying in both scale and scope, including the restoration and upgrade of two Grade II listed buildings on Piccadilly. Alongside her project work she is also Social Values Champion. She was shortlisted in the AJ100 Mentor of the Year Award for her work encouraging young people to pursue a career in the built environment.

Stephanie Adebayo

Stephanie is a Senior Development Manager who began her career at Foster and Partners after studying Interior Design Environment Architecture at Ravensbourne. She earned her Master’s in Architecture at Greenwich and gained experience in retail and residential architecture before joining a design-led residential developer.

Starting as a Design Coordinator, she advanced to Development Manager. She later completed her RIBA Part 3 at The Bartlett. Her diverse background in gives her a unique perspective, allowing her to lead design teams with both creative vision and technical expertise.
