YOU ARE INVITED - REFLECTING ON WOMEN’S WAYS OF KNOWING THE CITY
‘You Are Invited’ is an extension of the collaboration between Black Females in Architecture and Ɛdan Ghana, with Ɛdan inviting BFA to collaborate in the design and curation of a public space for the duration of the programme between 20th December 2025 - 8th January 2026.
Join us on Saturday 20th December 2025 for the launch of this MA Ghana Showcase in Osu, Accra, a continuation of BFA’s MA project exploring spatial narratives shaped by African and diasporic women.
Explore artworks across visual, spatial and sonic mediums, responding to themes of rest, community, food and celebration within the daily rhythms of women’s labour in Accra.
The works making up the showcase have been gathered in response to an open call initiated by a public workshop hosted by BFA and Edan in Accra earlier this year. The workshop facilitated women urbanists, designers, architects, and creatives coming together to discuss, share and explore how women’s ways of knowing shape the city.
The resulting contributions take the form of visual art (paintings, murals, textiles, sculpture, mixed media, film, prints), music, performance, design, and participatory practice.
