Black Females in Architecture
BFA is a network and enterprise founded to increase the visibility of black and black mixed heritage females within the architectural industry and other built environment fields.
BFA x Soho House: Architects Interrogating Cultures
Held in November 2022 and open exclusively to BFA and Soho House members, this collaboration with Soho House was BFA’s first non architectural partnership. The conversation was centred around the designers’ roles in shaping and defining culture across different disciplines including art, fashion, furniture, spatial & building design.
Through this event, we sought to broaden conversations beyond the silos of singular creative fields and acknowledge opportunities for collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches. By bringing talented individuals such as Tosin Oshinowo and Jayden Ali to the forefront of conversations around design and the built environment, we looked to continue our work amplifying the voice and works of black practitioners within the industry.
